High Hopes Challenge #28~ Thinking Outside the Box

That's mean we cannot make a card! oh no, that's something complicated for me....but nevermind....I have seen this little origami paper holder which made by my son and daughter, so I asked them to teach me...you can either put some flowers or other thing in it. I also used a doily to make a cone as an insert. It was very easy to make. For the High Hopes images that I used this time, High Hopes also offer discount together with other images, such as:

The regular price for all these stamps would be $43.40CDN woodmounted but for the month of April only you can get them on sale for 25% Off which means $32.55CDN wood mounted or $16.25CDN unmounted!! What a savings!!

Malaysia Food ~ My favorite #1 Nasi Lemak

I know, I know, my blog is about creative and stamping...something about cardmaking, stamping, papercrafts....but....don't you interested about food??? I bet all of us eager to try out some special food...or maybe curious about what is Ying's favorite food, right? OK, so I feel that I should let you know and fullfill your curiousity:-))

OK, we have many types of food here due to our different races here in Malaysia. We have Malay, Chinese, Indian, etc. My favorite food is..........Malay food!!!!! I am not a Malay, and I am not a Malay chef but just because I like it, so I introduce you to my favorite, Nasi Lemak.

It is Coconut-flavored Rice Meal - the rice cooked in coconut milk made aromatic with pandan leaves [screwpine leaves]. It is typically served with Sambal Ikan Bilis - fried dried anchovies cooked in a dry sambal sauce, and garnished with cucumber slices, hard boiled egg and roasted peanuts. Traditionally packaged in a banana leaf, it is usually eaten as hearty breakfast fare. For the recipe , you can view it here.

Wherever I go for breakfast I will consider Nasi Lemak, specially if it serves with Chicken wing:-)) But for health reason, I won't eat it too often because of the coconut milk. of course it's SPICY :-)))

High Hopes Challenge #27 ~!~Distress and De-stress

Edit:The High Hopes new release stamps will be live on the website early Sunday morning. To find the new stamps, you would do a search for HOTP (for Hot Off The Press).

What about your thinking for distress? Tim H's distress ink? for me, this is a must!!! I mostly distressed my artwork and I think this is not a hard challenge for me:-))
I colored the stamped image with Copic Ciao markers and distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink from Ranger.Embossed my pink cardstock with cuttlebug script embossing folder. Mat the colored stamped image on the embossed cardstock and placed it on the K&Company patterned paper and tied with green raffia.
I inked a ticket with Vintage Photo distress ink and stamped the word on it, then insert between the colored image and pink embossed cardstock.Clip with a paper clip too.Can you see the vintage corner die cuts? it's from Cuttlebug vintage corner die and the flower is from Prima, so cool, perfect with the challenge, I love it. Hope that you have a happy viewing and I can't wait to have the new release stamps on my hand to start make new cards!! Please pop to High Hopes challenge blog to see other Divas creation.
Supplies Used: High Hopes rubberstamps, K&Company, Ranger Distress ink,Cuttlebug, cuttlebug dies and embossing folders,Prima Marketing flower,Heroarts gemstones.Raffia, paper clip from my stash.

Happy Ester Day + High Hopes Challenge #26~Pierce it !

Today is Easter Day !! Jesus Christ is risen today!!! I wish all of you who is celebrate Easter, Happy Easter Day !!!

For today's High Hopes challenge, I have two cards to show you:-) The first one is Country Home and the other one is cute Easter card. I am sorry that the holes that I pierce in the Easter card is not so clear but I have a close up photo to you show you, it's a very simple card compare to Country Home card.

I used pink cardstock to make the base for Country Home card,I stamped old script background stamp on the pink cardstock, inked some Vintage Photo distress ink then I pulled out my K&Company patterned paper, cut along the edges, distressed with scissors and mat them on the cardstock. Beforehand, I stamped and colored the country home image on the white cardstock which I cut with my Cuttlebug using Nestabilities Labels One.I stamped the chicken on white cardstock and colored with Copic Ciao Markers too. I decorated the card with raffia, cinnamon stick ,paper flowers, spiral clip.It was complicated a bit but it was fun!
For the Easter card, this is more simple! I colored the stamped bunnies with copic ciao markers, cut it out and glued it on the paper that I cut with Nestabilities Labels One.I used brown cardstock and light green cardstock to make the base. I used a scrap patterned paper from K&Company to mat on the cardstock.Decorated the card with fabric ribbon, flowers and brads.

All stamps from High Hopes rubberstamps. All patterned paper from K&Company, All paper flowers from Prima Marketing.
Hope that you all had fun viewing my card and I always apologize for my MIA lately.
