High Hopes Challenge #24~Creative Borders

Finally, I can play with my new toy, Cuttlebug!!! I also bought the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels One, Labels Two and some Cuttlebug embossing folders, hope that I can create more cards and more cards by using these great tool!!!

I cut and embossed white paper with Spellbinder Nestabilities Labels One,stamped and colored with Copic Ciao Markers.

For this challenge, I used white lace to create a folded border, hope that this's count creative too!:-)The patterned paper is from Basic Grey, white paper flowers from Prima Marketing.

With the Cuttlebug, you can both cut and emboss Spellbinders Embossing Dies.

How-To Cutting Sandwich - (Stack from bottom up)

1. A plate

2. C plate

3. Spellbinders die face up (rough side up)

4. Paper or cardstock

5. B plateRun through Cuttlebug machine.

High Hopes Challenge #23 ~ Buttons Challenge+ March POTM

Old Macdonal had a farm,eya eya o.....Good evening/morning everyone!!! Phew....I thought I can't finish this card!! I took forever to finish it....LOL...this was really a challenge for me, specially I need to make the scene background for the very first time.All are difficult for me as I need to color the stamped images first them assembled into a piece of paper that I have made the cloud and the field. Here are the steps:

A.For the stamped images:
I stamped the High Hopes Farm theme stamps with Tsukineko Memento Ink onto a white cardstock.Colored with Copic Ciao Markers.Cut it out after finished coloring.

B.For the scene background:

(Cloud)-I hand cut a picture of cloud like the picture below. On a white scrap paper, I inked the cloud with Ranger Broken China distress ink, then colored the rest, did the same to make several "cloud".

(Field)-I sponged some Ranger Mustard Seed, Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint on the white cardstock.

C. I glued the backyard background stamped images on the "ready-made scene background cardstock", then I used 3 D foam pad to glue the farmer and pink stamped images that I colored before.

D. I used blue cardstock to mat the background. I stapled the gingham ribbon on the blue cardstock too. Then I stapled two gingham ribbons on the upper right hand side.

E. Sentiment tag with button
I had this idea when I don't know where to put the sentiment:-)) I used raffia to go through the stapled gingham ribbon and tied it on the stamped sentiment and I went through the raffie into the button, lastly I glued the raffie with crystal laquer. I just used a string of raffia to make all this.

Lastly I glued the blue cardstock on the brown cardstock and glued the buttons with crsytal laquer too.

Here a Moo , There a Moo-Pencils Holder

I want this candy tin for a long time, then I asked my son's permission to give it to me to alter something...then I came across the cute cows High Hopes rubberstamps in my mind....I want to use them , I really want to use them.....so, here is the altered candy tin....it's a pencils holder or stationary holder now:-)) I will give back to my son as a gift:-)) So, next time, if you see a tin or a box, you know what to do!:-)

I colored the stamped images with copic ciao markers, glued the patterned paper on the tin,placed the green paper lace and trim, arranged the colored stamped images, added some fabric flowers and raffia on the bottom of the tin.Viola! So easy, you can make one too!!

Magnolia DT~Just For You

Good morning/evening to all my blog readers. Today I want to show you a very simple card that I made last night.Finally I have finished all my Magnolia Love collection DT kit. I will mailed them to Sweden this afternoon. I had fun to make all these 5 cards and I also found my own style in these cards. I also wanted something gorgeous, sparkle with all the beautiful embelishments when making cards, but, now I just realised sometimes simple is beautiful too:-)), don't you think so ??

All supplies from Magnolia shop, except Hero arts sentiment stamp, prima flowers and Kaiser craft rhinestones.

Magnolia DT~ From Someone Who Cares:-))

I am so behind with my Magnolia DT cards, I suppose to have Easter and Fortune kit, but my Love Collections kit is still in my hand:-(( Anyway,here is my flower box and Tilda sitting on it, looks nice, right? Thank you Pauline for sending me this cute stamps and supplies.

Someone asked me how do I make my cards? what are the steps? hehe...tell you the truth , I don't have any proper steps/method to follow, as I do it as I wish and I also based on what supplies are in my hand. But, normally I do follow these steps too:

1.Pick a stamp.

2.Decide what cardstock /patterned paper that you want to use.

3. Coloring. Choose color that is already on your patterned paper or their same family. For example, if your patterned paper's main color is red, then you can color your stamp with pink. Coordinate is very important.

4.Plan your card layout and at the same time decide/choose embelishments or other supplies that you want to match with the colored stamp, cardstock and embelishment. And, again, the color coordinate is important. For example, in this card, I have used light brown and pink color,so I used felt flowers that have the same hue of it, yellow, pink and orange.So your card will not look strange in colors. Hope that you understand what I share here:-))

I really can't live without patterned paper and here is my card with cardstock and other embelishments, hope you like it. High Hopes Challenge #21~~~~Zig Zag

Wow, that's a week again for our High Hopes Challenge , and here is our #21, Zig Zag,. I nearly to give up to make a card because I don't own a sewing machine! But, then I think I can doodles myself as I always do it on my card, so here is my "Spring Fever" with lot's of Spring colors and flowers and FEVER!!!:-))) I doodled all the zig-zag with black gel pen, it was easy task for me:-))

This time I also included some pictures to show which Copic Ciao Markers I used to color my image, as I received some emails regarding these. I don't do a tutorial for it as I know I am still a beginner to use Copic markers and there's also ton's of tutorials out there, and for this I recommend Claudia's tutorials, fabulous!! OMG, don't you think my card is toooooo cute?? LOLOL....what a shame I praise my own card myself? or I deserve with it? what do you think? hehe....I hardly imagine blue and pink can be a good partner...and what make it more cute is, I made with Magnolia rubberstamps.:-))

Oooooo, what if a guy want to kiss you ? what is your reaction? I LOVE how tilda put her hand, she is so shy....and her eyes are closed....she wants Edwin to kiss her but she is shy and at the same time she is enjoying the feeling......oh my, am I a bit too far today to describe Tilda?hehe...I do hope you enjoy my card as I do:-)) You rock, Pauline, for the amazed drawing!!!

Did you notice the background paper behind Tilda and Edwin? I handmade it with Hero Arts Old Script Background stamp, Versamark Ink,an unknown unmounted Heart stamp, I embossed the stamped image with clear embossing powder then inked with blue and red distress ink. Inspirations came from StampARtic.I am afraid I don't have the step by step tutorials but you can have a look at HERE

High Hopes Challenge #20~Fuzzy

Isn't this rabbit is too cute? I promise to show you all the rabbit's card during this March through Easter Day on 12th April.The challenge this week is fuzzy feeling, somehow I just can tell you that I used velvet ribbon that has fuzzy feeling,you can feel it, I know:-)) I hope that you can check out other talented DT's design in High Hopes Challenge blog, btw, we have some great and big news to annouce too, at the blog, watch it out!!:-))

这兔子实在太可爱了,复活节快来了,我将做一些兔子的卡片呈献给大家看,当然,兔子不代表复活节,那,为什么会有兔子呢?原来,典型的复活节礼物跟春天和再生有关系：鸡蛋、小鸡、小兔子、鲜花，特别是百合花是这一季节的象征。复活节前夕，孩子们为朋友和家人给鸡蛋着色打扮一番。这些蛋有的煮得很老，有的只是空空的蛋壳。复活节那天早上，孩子们会发现床前的复活节篮子里装满了巧克力彩蛋、复活节小兔子、有绒毛的小鸡及娃娃玩具等。据说复活节兔子会将彩蛋藏在室内或是草地里让孩子们去寻找。请看有关详情>>>>复活节与兔子.
