What I received from Melanie Tan

Last saturday morning, my hubby passed to me a big box when the postman came to my house, I was so curious what is it and when I noticed the sender was Melanie, my curiousity was so high because she was supposed to send a CARD to me only not a big box!!!!!I opened wrap papers and have a big shout of OH OH OH:-)

I quickly took my digital camera and took my action.A really beautiful ,beautiful box filled with goodies and a beautiful and creative card shown in front of me!! Melanie is so talented and creative. She made a wedding dress using the patterned paper I sent as the lower part of the dress and added vellum to have a satin look, very very clever and creative idea.I do hope, yes, I wish that Melanie consider cardmaking as her hobby now and forever...

This is actually a NNCC ( Card Swap).Thank you Melanie.

Big beautiful box with gift and card for me:-)

Inside the wrapping paper was

A Golden Moment

Phew!!! I finally had the time to make the card for little extra from DCM featured on Tuesday.

Here is the challenge:

This time we are giving you just One Word as the inspiration for your card making and that word is GOLDEN You can use the word in any way you like - the word itself doesn't even have to be on the card, for instance you could make a card in golden shades, or maybe inspired by the seasons of Spring or Autumn which both feature lots of golden colours. Or maybe you could make a card to celebrate a Golden Anniversary, and of course Gold is a great colour for Christmas cards.....It's up to you - just go for Gold .

Thank you Daring Cardmakers!!

I used a really GOLD paper and oh my, it took me hours to scan and photograhed the photos. After the scanning the gold paper looks so weird on picture, but very details, I was not happy with the result, so I took my digital camera and make some shots.

Scanned

Taken with digital camera.

Autumn ATC

I have a long time didn't making ATC, I don't know why. Tonight , I tried to make 2 autumn ATC and I want to show you one of them :-) I think I have started to enjoy making ATC, fun and easy.

I used walnut ink to make the background on aida cloth, let dried. Then I stamped the leaves on it with various colors-autumn colors ,for sure. This was my very first attempt to stamp on aida cloth.Wording-ribbon glued on top of the aida cloth before added the skeleton leaf.

Here is the ATC:

Foam Stamps(leaves): Unknown source
Walnut Ink,wording-ribbon, skeleton leaf
Ink Pad: Distress Ink, Stamping Up-Pumkin Pie,Imprintz.

hmmmmmm......I think it's ADDICTED !!!!

I am addicted to blog challenges, can't help to make my card right away I read at DCM about the challenge this week. Here is the challenge:

This week I dare you to use a Word as the main focal point to your card. It can be a name, a greeting or just a word that inspires you. You can use other text but only one word as a main embellishment. So dig out your dictionaries, die cutters, alphabet stamps, rubons or download a funky font and show us what you can do! The design team have come up with some fabulous creations to inpsire you.

So, here is my card,I am quite happy with this final product:-)).

For the first time.....

I am showing my stamping area....well, I am not so new and not so old in stamping and cardmaking....I am really amazed that I have builded up some "supplies" that you can name them around you....stamps...yes, stamps, not postage stamps that you use for your mailing, chalk, yes, it's for chalking, not the chalk that your teacher use them to write on the board, heat gun, use to emboss , not for shooting someone:-),

Embelishments, a new name for me when I was into cardmaking, but now I can't live without them....blender pen, to blend color in watercoloring, not to blend your ice blended mocha ( yum, yum...),and SOOOOOOO many other supplies.

I don't have them all. I wish I had them all though:-)). It's fun to stamping and cardmaking and you just wonder, how many supplies you don't have?:-)

Some of my mounted stamps, I don't have too many stamps, due to the high value of them:-( Hero arts, Penny Black, stampabilities and so many other brands are my favorite, but I truly love those which have cute images:-)

Unmounted stamps, clear stamps, foam stamps. So many brands, CTMH, Stamping Up,Stampendous!,MSE. I even can't remember some of their name. Cheaper and save the store places too ! :-))

Rubberstamp's wife is ink pad:-)) I believe so, rubberstamps can't live without ink pad, although there has so many medium to stamp with. I have brilliance, distress ink, versamark, versamagic, colorbox, etc. Each one is a unique ink pad and then pigment, dye-ink, permanent ink, stazon, played an important part of your stamping, you can't live without it, so does rubberstamp :-)

Here are some of my coloring supplies, chalk, color pencils, brushes, etc. I think they are rubberstamp and ink pad's KID, because they are their final touch:-)) am I right ?

The big blue drawers is to store rubberstamps, unmounted rubberstamps, pattern papers, punches, scissors,rub-on, templates.

The orange rack is to store ribbon, fibers, embelishments such as brads, eyelets, 3D stickers, etc. The yellow rack is to store coloring tools, heat gun, crystal laquer, embossing powder, ink pads, prima flowers, etc.So many supplies in three racks.I have some wallpapers, wrapping papers, handmade papers from Thailand, rice papers, tissue papers store in a container besides the rack too.

A small corner to display cards I received. I have cardstocks, pattern papers, magazines, cardmaking and stamping books stored in magazine folder too.A small black drawers to store my stationery.

I know I have ways to goooooooooooo............ I just addicted to rubberstamping !!!!!!!!!!!
